Anne Bridget Tansey (née Garvey)
Anne Bridget Tansey (nee Garvey), Dublin & Galway.
With deepest inexpressible grief, the Tansey family announce the parting from this life of Anne, adored Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and the Friend and Confidant of so many… following a very brave and dignified battle with ill health.
She leaves behind, in a never to be filled emptiness, her spouse and friend of 61 years: Bernard; her sons Barry and Alan; her daughter Karen; her daughters-in-law Marcia and Brenda and son-in-law Cyril; her grandchildren: Grace, Matthew, Isobel, Robert, Joseph, Katie, Rachel and Callum; her brother Kenneth and niece Fionnuala; and her close and lifelong friends.
Anne is predeceased by her brother Fr. Gerard; her father Joe; her mother Bridie (Sutherland); and especially Nellie (Sutherland) & ‘Unkie’ (Frank Lydon); and sister-in-Law, Mairead. Anne spent her last year in palliative care, and our appreciation for the tender and loving care she received at the Sugarloaf Care Centre in Kilmacanoge, reflects the smiles, the care, and the instant responses of each of the staff there to Anne’s very many needs.
Anne’s mortal body will repose at Fanagans (Carnegies) Funeral Home, 19 The Crescent, Monkstown, A94 XK28, on Wednesday, Nov 12, from 17.30 to 19.00.
